A New Year brings with it the desire to refresh your space or maybe you’ve been wanting to start over for quite some time, well 2022 is your year. The first step to any great interior project is to familiarise yourself with the different design styles and decide which one suits you best, that’s where we come in. Our team of interior designers have come up with some simple guides to get the inspiration flowing and help you find the style that is right for you.

Coastal

Coastal design is exactly what it sounds like; a style that is all about that seaside aesthetic. Soothing hues, natural fibres and raw wooden furniture. Your home doesn’t have to be by the beach, but it can be a reflection of those natural seaside elements through coastal colours and subtle nods to beachy surroundings.

Hamptons

If you are after a timeless and luxurious home, the Hampton style is for you. Hampton styled interiors are usually light, bright and sophisticated, they come across as effortless and calming. This is incorporated through natural and authentic textures and colours consisting of white, neutrals, warm hues with blues or navy.

Contemporary

If you are wanting a simple yet impactful interior, Contemporary styling is for you. Fundamentally, a contemporary style of decorating is defined by simplicity, subtle sophistication, deliberate use of texture, and clean lines. Interiors tend to showcase space rather than things. Things that are modern and current with the styles of the moment are contemporary style.

Modern Mid Century

If you are someone who appreciates mid century architecture but don’t want your home to look like it’s stuck in the 70’s. Modern Mid Century is the style for you. This style is known for juxtaposing sleek lines, organic shapes, using new materials and methods to reimagine traditional pieces. Consisting of Clean lines, muted tones, a combination of natural and manmade materials, graphic shapes and vibrant colours.

Maximalist

If you consider yourself someone who is imaginative, has an attention for detail, loves daring colour palettes, lavish fabrics and wants to create an intriguing and sumptuous space, this maximalist style is the one for you. Maximalism is a loud style composed of mixed patterns and excessive collections of saturated colours. More of everything. More colours, fabrics and accessories.

Luxe Maximalism

If you see yourself as a minimalist who loves to use the bare essentials to create a simple and uncluttered space, then Luxe Minimalism is the style for you. Characterised by simplicity, clean lines and a monochromatic palette, through the use of functional furniture, geometric shapes and a combination of metals, reflective surfaces and velvet materials.

Industrial

If you want to create a bold statement with your home, but still keep it is simple and minimal, industrial styling is key. Consisting of mostly neutral hues and materials with a large focus on unique textures like distressed wood and exposed bricks. Creating a raw and masculine energy.
