Ethnicraft, a timeless furniture brand that is the foundation of many homes around the world, is now in the media for their collaboration on the Belgium Hockey National Teams “Centre of Excellence” project in Antwerp, Belgium.
In a world where trends change from one year to the next, Ethnicraft creates designs that will last for generations and furniture that will age with you overtime. Ethnicraft approaches design, production and manufacturing in the same way, with sustainability at the forefront. This is why there is no question that Ethnicraft pieces were chosen to compliment this new sustainable facility.
This project by POLO architects seeks to completely reinterpret the design and use of first-class training facilities. The goal was to create a professional, yet cheerful space where many individuals would feel at home on and off the field.
Viewed from the outside this modern building draws attention with its warm vertical timber beams accompanied by large beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows. Ultimately piquing anyone’s curiosity of what awaits on the inside.
The Hockey Centre of Excellence holds so much more than any other elite training facility. Apart from the obligatory gym and physiotherapy room, the premises also provide players and staff with a war room to discuss tactics and do match analysis, a communal kitchen and dining area, a co working space to study, and a lounge for players to unwind and hang out with teammates.
