Textured Neutrals, Timeless Living: Mt Eliza Residence

by Sarah V
12/01/2026

On Mount Eliza’s rolling coastal fringe, this architecturally designed family home by Webster Architecture & Interiors provided the perfect canvas for a modern minimalism brief with warmth at its heart. Our in-house stylist, Rhianna, created spaces that are effortless to live in. Here you’ll find a home that’s considered, soft, and functional for a busy family of five.

The N701 Sofa 3 Seater, Square Corner & 2 Seater, Eden Coffee Table and Maya Rug

“The client wanted the calm of a neutral canvas, but not the sterility. In this home texture and tactility do the talking.” — Rhianna

The Brief

Clients, The Shaws, wanted a home that balanced style with livability: modern minimalism that felt inviting, with neutral tones softened by layers of colour, texture, and warmth. Durability and functionality were essential for family life, without compromising elegance.

Clean lines and sculptural forms define the home, with full-height doors and tall ceilings creating grandeur. Stella Ivory marble by CDK Stone and Engineered French Oak by Made by Storey Floors add textural warmth, while subtle details in tiles and joinery introduce dimension and interest.

The Spaces

At the heart of the home, the Ethnicraft N701 sofa in moss green eco fabric anchors the open-plan space, complemented by the textured Maya rug in oatmeal. The Orsen dining table in our largest 3.2meter length, mirrors the rounded curves of the Eden coffee table, while the Pinta dining chairs in custom Limestone Alabama (a treated leather) offer both elegance and practicality for daily family life.

“Choosing the moss green sofa felt like bringing a piece of landscape indoors. It’s soft, grounding, and forgiving for a family space.” — Rhianna

Tribecca 4 Seater Sofa, Cube Coffee Table, Sandringham Rug in Merlot and Walton Lounge Chair

The media area brings a playful touch with the Tribeca sofa in confetti fabric, paired with the deep Merlot Sandringham rug and a travertine cube coffee table, blending drama with everyday functionality.

Neutral yet textural, the result is a home that reads minimal and refined, yet layered with warmth. Every piece was chosen to allow the family to live fully, without compromise on style, durability, or comfort.
