This week on The Block brought inspiration and excitement to areas of the home that can sometimes be viewed as less impactful spaces. We saw how simple touches, and thoughtful designs can give any corner of your house the opportunity to stand out and impress.
HOUSE 1 – TOM & SARAH JANE
Tom & Sarah Jane’s use of the Sorren Side Table brings depth and a focal point to a very open and light space. Nestled in between two occasional chairs, the overall space is inviting to anyone who enjoys their morning coffee under some natural light, or perhaps their evening wine by the fireplace.
The striking appearance of our Sorren Side Table, mixed with the simple styling by Tom & Sarah, creates a clean and elegant look that can work in a multitude of spaces. The brass used in the table also compliments the other accents of brass we have seen in Tom & Sarah Jane’s house in the previous weeks, which creates a strong relationship between all the rooms.
Flaunting a round marble base whilst boasting a classy and clean look, the Sorren is easily the perfect side table.
HOUSE 4 – DYLAN & JENNY
Congratulations to the winning couple of the week! A well deserved win for fully realised and greatly executed rooms. We loved seeing our Charlotte Lounge Chair make another appearance in Dylan & Jenny’s home, a nod to their guest bedroom that was completed earlier in the season.
Dylan & Jenny made excellent choices on their finishes and materials in this space. The warm and inviting texture and colour of our Charlotte Lounge Chair, along with the tones of the rug and timber, all work cohesively together to create a well curated hallway.
With some added layers including our Lucania Cushion and Mongolian Sheepskin Cushion, this creates a warm and cozy setting that is undeniably lasting in its impression. The graceful curves of our Charlotte chair blended with the furry texture of the cushion has a charming effect as they work so well together.
The Lucania Cushion and Mongolian Sheepskin Cushion spotted again! This time in their impressively designed Mud Room, and with the added Mongolian Sheepskin throw. You can tell a lot of effort and thought went into this space and it has definitely paid off.
HOUSE 5 – OMAR & OZ
We love seeing these two work together to create their home, and this week was no exception! I think it is fair to say each week they bring an element of their fun and bubbly personalities to their spaces.
The pared back and straight forward design of their hallway space, allows the Glacies Vase to shine in all of its glory! The added floral gives the vase an opportunity to boast its unique design and undeniable beauty.
Having this piece placed just by the window to allow the natural light to hit all the right places, was a thoughtful and fruitful choice by the boys this week.
With the Block 2022 nearly at its end, we are eager to see these houses in their complete state. It has been a mammoth effort by all of the teams so far and it has been paying off so we can only imagine the final product from each team will be sure to amaze!
