The playful spirit of this theme is drawn from the aesthetics of board games, dice, dominoes and tarot cards with a maximalist approach to design. The game plays with conventions, time periods, styles and types to give rise to an organised and positive form of bedlam.
A dramatic and theatrical approach to decoration in order to create a sense of mystery to the user. This is created by the use of sensual materials and strong attention to detail that is not immediately perceived. It takes the idea of layering and organised chaos to the extreme, but is portrayed visually in an opulent and rich décor, exemplifying the new found momentum of satins, velvets, taffetas, lacquer, trimmings and cut crystal.
